Cargo Pants and Pockets
One trend that could not go unnoticed for spring 2023 was cargo pants with utility pockets. We love pockets along with the wide straight leg pants of the season. This Open Edit pair from Nordstrom completely fits the bill. They come in black or tan and can be worn now with an oversize sweater and boots and later in spring with a tee-shirt and sandals.
Oversized Modified Menswear Shirts
For spring designers modified and supersized menswear shirts in a variety of ways. We love a great menswear shirt and this one by Kut from the Kloth is just right in white. Layer it over a long sleeve tee with jeans now and wear it as beach cover up later.
Clean Minimalist Suits
If you kept one of these suits from the 90s you are in luck! But chances are you need to buy a new one. Clean, minimalist pant suits are back for Spring 2023. You’ll feel chic and pulled together with this Lucy Paris suit. It comes in bold colors but we like basic black. Wear it with heels and a cami for cocktails, or dress it down with a tee shirt and sneakers to the office.
Lucy Paris Two Button Blazer, $128 & Tammy Wide Leg Pants, $98
(Take 25% off with a Bloomingdale’s Credit Card or take 20% off no matter how you pay now through Jan 8, 2023)
Dots Done Right
We are not huge fans of polka-dots, but for Spring 2023 we saw them done right on many of the runways. Zara did a brilliant take too, with this classic midi shirt dress. It comes with the belt, too. Wear it with boots like the model now and slip on sandals for spring and summer.
Zara Dot Shirt Dress, now $39.99
Pantone calls it “Classic Green” on their list of Spring/Summer 2023 NYFW top 10 fashion colors. But we call it “Spring Green” and it is one of our favorite color trends for 2023. This Cece top can be worn with velvet pants now, with jeans for St. Patrick’s Day and with white jeans or a floral skirt this summer.
CeCe Tie-Cuff Top, $69
Textures and Fringe
Yes, you have seen a lot of texture and fringe in recent years, but it’s here to stay for spring 2023. Why not carry this fun multicolor bag all year round? It’s a textured party bag! Grab it to brighten up anything you wear from denim to dresses. Who says you can’t carry raffia in January?
Florals In 3D
Floral prints are always a trend for spring, but for 2023 they bloomed in 3D! Gathered fabric, appliques and dimensional florals and corsages are a huge trend for Spring 2023. You’ll be totally on-trend with this Meave floral applique sweater. Pair it with black or even plaid or check pants for winter or with a flowy blush or cream colored skirt for spring.
Maeve Floral Appliqué Sweater, $128
(This sweater runs small, so size up!)
