If you buy one new accessory this season, make it a drool-worthy pair of earrings that will add a little something to all your outfits. Here are 7 of the most eye-catching earrings for Summer 2024.
Eye-Catching Statement Earrings
We tend to find oversized earrings to be a wonderful summer piece, for multiple reasons.
The first reason is that earrings don’t add any layers or weight to your outfit, which is important when the temps are high. Second, you can pick up a pair when you’re on vacation at virtually any price point. They are small and make great souvenirs, and you’ll think of that fabulous trip whenever you wear them. Third, earrings are an awesome way to add some color near your face.

Top Jewelry Trend for Summer 2024
Here are some of our favorite eye-catching earrings for summer 2024.
Eye-Catching Earrings: Floral Baubles
Earrings that look like sparklier versions of spring and summer florals are popping up everywhere right now, so if you love florals you are definitely in luck. Go big with these hand-painted flower earrings from The Pink Reef at Anthropologie. They come in every color of the rainbow.
Celestial Inspiration
The sun, the moon, and the stars can shine from your ears this season, just pick up a fun pair like these Betsy Johnson asymmetrical dangle drops. Small star studs, crescent moons, sunbursts, or lightning bolts are also a fun option if you want something with a little more oomph than a standard crystal or tiny hoop.
Two-Tone or Multi-Metal Earrings
You don’t have to choose between silver and gold (or rose gold, or green gold, or copper) this season. For instance, these Argento Vivo link earrings would work with just about anything, and so would these silver and rose Ralph Lauren linear chain link earrings. If you are in need (or just want) some new everyday earrings, pick up a two-tone or mixed metal pair for the sheer versatility.
Huggie Hoops: Summer Jewelry Trends
The classic 80s power earring is back with a modern twist. Nothing is simpler or easier than gold or silver huggie hoops, but you can also liven things up with some bling or some vibrant enamel like these colorful ones from Juliette Collection via Amazon. They are inexpensive enough that you can pick up a few different color ways.
Seashells Galore
We’re loving all the beachy looks on the runways, but some of them aren’t too practical for every day. However, a pair of seashell stud earrings like these from Plikin via Amazon always work, and they can be a subtle nod to how you wish you were on vacation!
Unexpected Pearls
While a traditional strand of pearls or pearl studs will never truly go out of style, this season has been full of pearls in unusual settings, like these Mejuri hoops with the pearl on the bottom or these Ettika seashell pearl drops that combine both the beachy and pearl trends.
Of course, some larger pairs of earrings may work better as a single pair, but if you have multiple lobe piercings or cartilage piercings, you can curate a whole ear look.
For instance, a bigger pearl earring in a lobe piercing could be paired with a pearl stud or smaller cuff-style hoop, or a big floral earring could be offset with a smaller stud in a complimentary or matching color in another piercing.
The only limit is your imagination (and the number of piercings you are willing to get of course). And if you’re not a pierced-ears person, there are a lot of clip-on or cuff styles that are on-trend and eye-catching as well.
