You may have noticed, white jeans (or cream, ecru, ivory or oatmeal) are very on-trend for spring/summer 2024. In fact according to LTK, searches for “white jeans” rose by 182% since New Years. Let’s take a look at the white jeans trend.
Do I already own white jeans? You betcha. In fact I pulled them out of my closet last weekend to assess the situation, and realized of the 4 pairs I have, only one will work this season. One pair is a boyfriend cut with no stretch that’s now too big on me, another are skinny (ew) and another had some stains around the pockets….so all of those are now gone. I do have one pair of wide leg white jeans that I’ll keep, but I don’t LOVE them. So I am on the hunt for another perfect pair.
New White Jeans For The Season
So as I am known to do, I thought I’d take us all shopping for new white jeans for the season ahead. They are now all over your favorite sites, in stores and out on the streets, but what styles are in and how to you wear them? I’m here to help because admittedly it’s a little overwhelming.

7 On-Trend White Jeans for Spring/Summer 2024
Baggy/Slouchy
It’s all about easy cool styling when it comes to baggy jeans. That’s why they have become a favorite this season. You might not want this style in a high waist (it’s hard to slouch a pair that’s up to your chest) but rather a mid-rise or dare I say low rise? One could argue you could just buy a pair of white jeans a couple sizes too large, but they are a little more refined than that.
Cargo Jeans
Cargo jeans were huge last year and they are again for spring, but this time make them white! Yes, they are casual, but they allow you to achieve a naturally understated look with little to no effort.
Wide Leg
If skinny jeans are out then wide leg jeans are way in! That’s great news for those of us who have a little something we want to hide below the waist.
Barrel Jeans
Yes, barrel jeans are hard to get right. But when you do…they are spectacular. The trick to wearing this style is to let them take center stage. To offset their extreme volume, keep everything above the waist more fitted.
Flare Jeans
Rejoice! The flare jeans you loved in the early aughts are back. But this season, get them in white.
Cuffed Jeans
Cuffed jeans are the “it” denim trend for 2024. Personally, I am not on board with it yet. But some trends take a while to take hold with me, so I never say never. I find they look best not cropped but in ankle-grazing or floor-skimming lengths paired with trainers. But they also work with ballet flats and kitten heels too.
Straight Leg
Straight leg jeans are timeless and suit the current back-to-basics aesthetic. They also go with any look you are trying to create. More relaxed than skinny jeans, they are still more tailored than wider styles.
How To Wear White Jeans
1. Monochromatic. Try a white tee, a white denim jacket and white sneakers for an all “white” look.
2. With blue denim. Nothing looks better than white jeans with a denim blue button down and loafers.
3. All Business. Add a white button down, fitted blazer and heels for the office.
4. Barrel White. Pair white barrel jeans with a cropped bomber or a cropped cardigan over a fitted tank.
5. Keep it earthy. Try adding various shades of earth tones from head-to-toe.
6. Keep it bright! How about pairing white jeans with a dark brown jacket instead of expected black?
7. Oversized. Go big or go home! Try paring white straight leg jeans with an oversized blazer for a “cool girl” vibe.
8. Date Night. Pair white jeans with a silk or satin tank top, gold jewelry and slingbacks.
