When I complied a list of the best fall 2022 fashion trends I could not help but notice some of the worst fall 2022 fashion trends too. Yes, crazy fashion pops up every season! The designers either pushed the limit or made some of the looks impractical, too revealing or simply too difficult to wear for women over 50 – or any age! And even some of the best designers included a “fashion don’t” along with their amazing “fashion do’s”. This proves that even a bad trend can be well-made. So here are some of the worst fall fashion trends we know you will avoid! But it is kind of fun to look (and laugh) at them anyway.
Worst Fall 2022 Fashion Trends
We took on the role of fashion police and found some of the worst style infractions for fall 2022.

1. Bare Bustiers
The corseted look for fall 2022 is on our best fall trend list and it’s amazing when layered over or under other pieces. But avoid wearing Madonna-style bustiers as outerwear. This is one 80s look we don’t want to revisit.

2. Street Sweeping Skirts
Long floor length skirts are gorgeous when they flow down the runways, however they are totally impractical when it comes to fall weather. That’s why I call these floor grazing skirts street-sweepers. Can you imagine how the white ones will look the second they touch the ground? Or you may touch the ground if you trip on it!

3. Just A Slip
You know how your mother said you need to wear a slip? I don’t think she meant just a slip! Something is definitely missing with these lingerie looks. I think it is clothing!

4. Micro Minis
The micro mini’s of spring are continuing into fall. Only for fall they are low-slung, too. They look like a thick belt. That seems too chilly to wear in the fall. So don’t forget your leg-warmers!

5. Bras Back In Black
The bra as a top trend lives on! Only for fall they are back in black.

6. Baby Doll Dresses
I can’t hate this look enough! Women are not baby dolls. These designers get a double infraction for their leg and footwear selections!

7. Hip Cut Outs
We’ve seen cutouts in some of the most unflattering places and at the hip is not cool. We are just scratching our heads!

8. Sheer Sequins & Sparkles
Sheer is difficult to wear as it is but why are designers blinging it up? How much attention do they think women want?

9. Sky High Platforms
Don’t get me wrong, these platforms are absolutely beautiful, but only to gaze upon! These sky-high works of art will get you down… after you fall wearing them! They can be hazardous to your health!

Big yikes! I once saw a woman with one leg shorter than the other–by several inches. She wore a shoe with a thick sole–exactly like those designer shoes. She would be so happy right now…
