I’m so happy the wide leg pants trend is back once again! Who doesn’t want to be comfortable? And you can be with these free flowing pants. We were obsessed with Ann Taylor’s easy to wear Pull On Palazzo pants in black and they also come in this gorgeous cognac amber color. Well I just had to have these pants in this almost metallic copper color. The fabric of these pants looks like silk, but you can wash them in the machine! That makes them even easier to wear. Palazzo pants can look like a long skirt, but I think that is a good thing! We wear maxi skirts for both day and evening, so I knew I could dress these pants up or down for a variety of occasions. They are so versatile that I easily came up with 3 ways to wear one pair of palazzo pants.
The Palazzo Pants
These palazzo pants come in cognac amber and black and petite and regular sizes. The petite length works for me and I am 5’4″. They are an an easy pull-on style and have a wide elastic waistband that works with or without a belt.
A Casual Daytime Look
I love a little glam for day, and these palazzo pants can be dressed down with a basic white t-shirt and sneakers. I’m wearing gold metallic sneakers, but any color will work. I grabbed a camo print jacket and a black straw tote bag. This look is perfect for errands and you won’t mind running into someone you know! Simply replace your jeans with palazzo pants and you’ll look pulled together in an instant.
A Colorful Sophisticated Look
The copper color of these pants is bright, but they will go with any other color you like. Pair them with a bright colored blouse and another pop of color with your handbag. I’m wearing a bright pink blouse with a sky blue mini satchel. My belt and shoes are in neutral colors to keep the look cohesive. My belt is in dark brown woven leather and the mules are in leopard calf hair adding some texture to all the solid masses of bold color.
An Elegant Evening Look
These silky pants are perfect for a comfortable and chic evening look. I’m wearing a basic black tank top with a black wide belt under a lace button front blouse. Lace is making a big comeback for fall so this look is right on trend. I grabbed a black leather clutch bag and slipped on flat suede slide mules and I’m ready for my next cocktail party or wedding celebration.
How would you wear these palazzo pants? Casual, dressy or somewhere in between?
