Here is how to add just one new piece your wardrobe that will give you many different looks. I found this Simply Vera Vera Wang V-Neck Top from Kohl’s. It happens to be a best-seller, and now I see it’s for good reason. The v-neck and cap sleeves are flattering and easy-to-wear on a variety of body shapes, which is ideal for women over 40. The fabric is wrinkle-free and it is totally appropriate for a variety of occasions. This top is long and flowy and not to tight or low-cut. It is perfect for the office and can be dressed up as a going out top or down with your most comfortable pair of jeans.
I chose this Stem Border print because it can be worn multiple ways and can look like you are wearing a totally different top each time! It’s perfect to pack on your next vacation or business trip. Here are 3 ways to style one v-neck top.

Play Up The White
I love the abstract amethyst-colored print of this top and my first inclination was to wear it with cool white for summer. Pair it with white jeans or pants, white slide shoes and a shiny silver metallic bag. This look is very versatile and can go from day to a casual evening out for dinner or cocktails.

Tuck Into Faded Denim
One thing I really like about this top is the way the color block falls below the waist. By simply tucking the top into high waist denim jeans, or any pants or skirt, you only see the white background print and the top looks much different. The faded denim jeans takes this top to a much more casual level. Wear it with a silver studded black belt, sturdy platform slide sandals and toughen up the look with a black leather biker jacket.

A Mixed Print Peplum Look
Another option is to add another print! This creates your own mixed print color blocked look. I added an oblong leopard-print scarf and cinched it at the waist to create a peplum style top. Wear it over a black pencil skirt and slip on block heel slide sandals for a dressier look.

Black Mule Sandals
As you can see, there are many ways to transform one top to make it look totally different each time you wear it. I will also wear it over black skinny jeans, black coated jeans, grey denim jeans, tucked into high waist black wide leg pants, and with different colored scarfs (perhaps a floral print) tied at my waist or around my neck as an accent piece.
