A 40-Something Fashion & Beauty Editor On Living In A Millennial World

I just had to say it. I couldn’t hold it in anymore. If one more millennial PR person pitches me, but then asks how many Instagram followers we have I will scream. They are missing the big picture (and I’m missing patches of hair). She doesn’t have a clue (and I say “she” because 95% are women named Ashley or (God) Lauren) how our age demographic gets and processes our information when it comes to shopping and spending

I Dared To Bare – I Tried An Off-the-Shoulder Top and I Liked It

I know I have been pretty hard on the off-the shoulder top and here I am wearing one. Yes, I dared to go bare shouldered. My husband and I had to attend a Rio themed party and when I did some research I learned I should wear something bright. I don’t own anything with a bright pattern, so I was on the hunt. I was searches high and low and was striking out left and right. I had found a pineapple bag on clearance from Asos and figured I could wear a black dress like I always do a get an updo and stick a flower in it. Boring.

Do You Own The Latest Trend In Jeans? You Can Make Them Yourself!

Do you want to wear the latest trend in jeans, but you don’t want to spend $200 on a pair that may go out next year anyway? The cropped staggered or stepped hem jeans are a chic look for women of any age. These jeans are usually higher waisted, and have a raw cut hem that’s shorter in the front and longer and angled in the back. Watch my video to find out how easily you can make the look yourself.

The Recap And Fashion Drama of The RHONY Season 8: Ep 15

Watching this season of The Real Housewives of New York, I have come to two conclusions. One, Sonja Morgan is a whore. Two, LuMann is a bigger whore. If she did in fact climb on top of her future husband while he was on a date with his girlfriend of three months (holding hands no less) and left with him that evening (did he just leave his date at the bar?) then that is horrible and so NOT very Countess-like. In fact, I dare to say it is very “See You Next Tuesday-like.” If you are one of those suckers who bought her book “Class with the Countess: How to Live with Elegance and Flair” I’d either demand your money back or light it on fire. Those two obviously deserve each other. How disgusting.

Looks for Less: Simply Tied Up Sandals

You may have noticed tie up sandals have been popping up everywhere this summer. Instead of boring, ugly Birkenstocks or (god forbid) flip flops, a sandal that’s unique and chic is finally available in a price range that won’t break the bank. Lately, I’ve been loving wrap around sandals in neutral colors that aren’t over-the-top or ridiculous looking, like those hideous gladiator ones that lace up to your knee. Sandals that tie up around your ankle are very versatile and can be paired with a maxi dress, a long skirt and button up shirt or with jeans and a tunic style top for sunset cocktails on the patio.
