Looks for Less: Simply Tied Up Sandals

You may have noticed tie up sandals have been popping up everywhere this summer. Instead of boring, ugly Birkenstocks or (god forbid) flip flops, a sandal that’s unique and chic is finally available in a price range that won’t break the bank. Lately, I’ve been loving wrap around sandals in neutral colors that aren’t over-the-top or ridiculous looking, like those hideous gladiator ones that lace up to your knee. Sandals that tie up around your ankle are very versatile and can be paired with a maxi dress, a long skirt and button up shirt or with jeans and a tunic style top for sunset cocktails on the patio.

Styles that feature beading are reminiscent of tropical getaways, like this pair from Steve Madden. Channel your wild side with a leopard printed pick like these from Topshop. After all, when incorporated into looks sparingly, I consider leopard print to be a neutral. Styles with tassels are fun as well, and these sandals from Free People have the perfect balance of whimsy and sophistication. If your style tends to be more simple and classic, these pairs from ASOS or Urban Outfitters may be up your alley.

Whether you’re enjoying a sunset stroll during a family getaway to the Caribbean or hitting up the farmers market after brunch, these sandals will compliment your outfit perfectly. So get a beach-ready pedicure and snap up a pair (or two!) of these sandals. After all, you can never have too many pairs of shoes!
