Let’s talk about the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAGs). It’s the show that usually has the most talked-about red carpet leading up to the Oscars. However for some reason it’s so much more low key than the Golden Globes or the Academy Awards. Even the fashion, while definitely kicked up a notch, is more colorful, more experimental and much more fun in my opinion. The celebrities seem to be making a statement without getting too Old Hollywood or too architectural or too old fashioned. There were exceptions this year, of course, and there were celebs who were too over-the-top. I’ve become a much bigger fan of seeing what the stars will wear at the SAGs than the Golden Globes…and this year the SAG Awards 2020 red carpet didn’t disappoint.
Of course, those photos of that Brad Pitt / Jennifer Aniston reunion helped. As did the fact that the biggest A-listers had the most striking standout gowns. Let’s take a look:

Best Dressed Celebrities In Statement-Making Gowns
This is the kind of look that she should have worn to the Oscars. I’m so glad she chose it for the SAGs! Also, what a stunning piece of work! (I’m talking about the dress…)

Wow, this is a knockout of a dress. And she knows it. I heard she was recovering from the flu too, You’d never know it.
What I love about Sophie Turner and her Louis Vuitton looks is that they always fit so well. I need the number of that tailor!
This is a surprising color and a more surprising look for Zoe Kravitz. I’m not sure why I like it but I do.
The celebs really brought out all the stops with the color this awards show.
This isn’t one of her best-ever looks but I do love the color.

The Questionables On The SAG Awards 2020 Red Carpet
I’m not sure what to think about these gowns.
I don’t know if I love it…or hate it…
She does look very royal, but I’m not liking the sheer sleeves so much.
The Worst Dressed At The SAG Awards 2020
What can I say about this dress? There are no words. The only thing sweet about this look was the floral print, but I didn’t like that either. This dress was just not appropriate for this event, and it shouldn’t be worn again — for life.
Lauren may not agree with me on this (she may actually like the dress) but in my opinion, it’s a bad idea to wear an orange dress to an awards show…even if it is Valentino.
A curtain dress and a great big bow. At least put the bow on the back of the dress. Did you notice the trend of big bows across the chest? This is one 80’s trend that clearly should not be resurrected.
This dress has a lot going for it…except the fact that it looks like a tent. I know we’ve been seeing a lot of tent-inspired fashion lately (I’m looking at Valentino couture!) and I’m just not a fan. If you’re big, it makes you look bigger and if you’re thin, it swallows you whole. Not for me and what a waste of fabric!
This look is so not Christina Applegate. I’m stunned.
I think I would like this dress, but the cough syrup color ruins it. It’s so conservative and covered up.
It’s hard to believe this is the same Armani Prive that designed Scarlett Johansson’s dress.
Which dresses do you think were the best or worst on the red carpet at the SAG Awards 2020?
