We’re in the midst of the Fall 2023 fashion weeks, one of the most exciting times of the year. The New York Fashion Week collections just wrapped last week. Prior to that, the Pantone Color Institute presented their predictions of the top 10 NYFW fashion color trends for fall 2023.
So were they right? I took a look and did indeed find each of these colors on the runways. Some were more prominent and were shown across many of New York collections, especially Burnt Sienna and Persian Jewel. Some were a little more difficult to spot like Tender Peach, Carnival Glass and Kohlrabi.

The colors at a glance are not your typical “fall” colors, but we have seen this happening in the last several years. Bright bursts of color spiked the runways in contrast to the deep rich hues and expected and coveted neutrals like black, brown, grey, tan and cream.
According to Pantone Color Institute experts, the colors for NYFW Autumn/Winter 2023/2024 signify our desire to communicate the joy of creativity and design joy into our lives. These color combinations encourage exploration, experimentation and open space for free and fun color imaginings.
