So very quickly I came up with 6 different ways to wear it, and I’m sure I’ll think of more! I know I will get a lot of use out of this button down shirt and I think it is a must-have wardrobe staple for women over 50 for Fall 2023.
Multiple Ways To Wear A Striped Shirt
A black and white stripe button down shirt is a definite winner in any woman’s wardrobe. It’s bold, modern and striking, yet still a classic. It is truly a neutral and it can be worn multiple ways. Think of how men wear stripe shirts under herringbone, tweed or plaid suits, as well as with paisley or other pattern ties. You can mix prints and colors with a striped shirt the same way. Yes, this is a bolder black and white stripe than most menswear striped shirts, but it makes more of a statement.

The bold srtipes, the styling and the drape are just perfect and it worth the price since it can be worn so many different ways. 6 Different Ways To Wear A Black and White Striped Shirt
A stripe shirt can coordinate with almost everything you already have in your closet. Take a look at how it works with pants, jeans, skirts and with a variety of shoe styles.
With Black Wide Leg Pants
This is a classic and easy to wear look. Tuck your black and white striped shirt into high waist wide leg pants with a black gold buckle belt. Accessorize with a pair of comfortable slide mules and a black bucket bag with gold hardware. You can wear this outfit to work, to dinner or any event where you want to look chic.
Go Casual With Jeans
A black and white striped shirt pairs well with any pair of jeans, dark or faded denim. Choose your favorite and most flattering style. This season I like straight or wide leg jeans in a medium wash. Another tip to mixing prints is to go much larger like I did in this case, or smaller to make it work. A belt and shoes in one of the skirt colors ties the patterns together. A metallic bag makes it a bit dressier, but this outfit can be worn for brunch, lunch, dinner or to a cocktail party.
