The leather trend was spotted once again on various runways in both neutrals and bold colors for fall 2021. To get the look for less, you can always go faux. I personally love the trend and breaking out my favorite faux leather clothes makes the end of summer and the crisp autumn air a little more exciting. I’ve rounded up the best faux leather pieces for the season in bold colors as well as neutrals and classic black.

Do you want to dip your toe in this trend without a ton of commitment? Try some faux leather accented pieces instead of committing to a full faux leather purchase. I have a family friend in her 60’s who wears faux leather leggings, platform heels, bright red Chanel nail polish and fire engine red lipstick, so this trend totally reminds me of her. For women wanting to splurge on a slightly more expensive pair of leggings, Spanx has a higher end pair in black. I know colored leather is trending, but wearing a bold pair of leggings might be a bit much and you’ll get more cost per wear from a simple black pair. Spanx is a beloved brand too, and the fact these are available in both petite and tall means you’re bound to find one that is flattering on your body type. I would wear these for relaxing weekend errands with sneakers under an oversized casual sweater.
