Wearable Trends: Love To Lace ‘em Up

This month I’d like to talk about one of my favorite fashion topics: shoes! More specifically a spring shoe trend that has completely dominated the season, the lace up sandal. I consider this trend to be an updated and more refined spin on the gladiator sandals that we couldn’t get away from a few years ago. For 2016, the laces are delicate and thin, feminine and much more universally flattering than earlier versions of this trend.

Earning Your Stripes For Spring

I love stripes, I really do and while I am thrilled they are once again back on trend for spring, I am intrepid. Why? Well most stripes just are not that flattering. I always love a menswear inspired or boyfriend blue and white stripped shirt, but that’s because the lines are usually vertical. So it got me thinking, what other striped items for spring I could find that are actually flattering – and thankfully I found quite a few.

Fashion Through The Ages: A Return To The 80s Soft Trench

We saw them all over the runway for spring 2016: soft, flowey, and slightly oversized belted overcoats reminiscent of the 80s. Do you remember these robe-like, slouchy midi coats? I immediately thought of Cybill Shepherd in Moonlighting or the oversized jackets on Miami Vice. The best part about these slouchy coats is that they hide what you are wearing underneath and give you a professional look in a flash.

Don’t Miss It! We Will Recap & Dish On Real Housewives Fashion

Since I already waste so much watching reality TV such as the Housewives of Wherever I thought we should start recapping and discussing some of the fashions (and fashion tragedies) from some some of my favorites Housewives such as the upcoming RHONY and the new and probably sure to be unbelievably over-the-top Dallas. So stay tuned for recaps coming this April. If all goes well, we may also do The Bachelor/Bachelorette since I don’t usually watch it, but I know many of our readers do. I will be live Tweeting too so be sure to follow us.
