Runway To Real Way: Fall For Orange In Spring

It’s a very common misconception that certain colors are only allowed during certain seasons. Sure, jewel tones look best against a wintry fabric and pastels pop most in summer but the fashion color wheel is available all year round for us to dabble in as we so desire. Many of us would look at orange and immediately think of the falling leaves of, well, fall. But judging from the Spring/Summer 2016 runways, designers are bringing this autumnal color front and center for the spring.

Anything BUT Boring Black Bathing Suits!

Yep. It’s that dreaded time of year. Time to think about bathing suits. So recently I talked about my favorite cover-up, the kaftan/kimono, which actually made me excited to hit the pool. Then I remembered at some point I will have to remove it and get into the pool. That’s not as fun. I’m sure by now you already know there is nothing more flattering than a black bathing suit. They visually help you drop 10 pounds instantly. Yet, you may be thinking, they are so boring. Looks For Less: Structured Satchels for Sunny Occasions

Post-dinner walks in the park, Saturday shopping trips, brunches al-fresco, ahhh! The benefits of warmer weather and sunshine soaked days are upon us. With all the time spent strolling around, nobody wants to have a cumbersome, heavy oversized bag weighing them down. After editing your bag down to the essentials, it’s time to do a little springtime shopping and consider snapping up a new, cute carryall.

Getting Summer Ready With Kaftans & Kimonos

I don’t know if it was watching the RHOBH “housewives” going to Dubai or I’m just digging the trend I first noticed for Resort ’16, but I’m finding myself buying kaftans and kimonos left and right to wear this summer. I seriously can not get enough. I’ve bought a few long and short ones. The look is effortless and they come in versions that are draped, flared, belted and billowed for day or night. I know you might be thinking, “seriously? Aren’t kaftans for old ladies?” Not anymore!
