The new fashion director and chief fashion critic for The New York Times is Vanessa Friedman. The current fashion editor at the Financial Times will be taking her new position next month and will be in charge of global fashion coverage for both The New York Times and International New York Times. Friedman has held her position at Financial Times since 2003, and past jobs include: the features and fashion director at UK InStyle, a contributor to The Economist, The New Yorker, Vogue and Entertainnment Weekly.
