“I’ll Tell You What I Want, What I Really, Really Want”: My Ultimate Gift Guide

To be honest, I really don’t need anything — and yes, I know the holidays aren’t about “need” anyway. Aside from finally wanting to redesign my mom’s fur coat so I can actually wear it (and trust me, that project won’t be cheap), there isn’t much on my must-have list this year. But… if we’re talking about the things I’d love to unwrap — or gift to myself — there are definitely a few. Consider this my thoughtfully edited, slightly indulgent holiday wish list.

Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide for Women Over 50

reMarkable Paper Pro Move

1. reMarkable Paper Pro Move, from $499

I first spotted the larger version of this a couple of years ago at an event and was instantly obsessed — because as much as I live on my phone, I’m a pen-to-paper girl at heart. When I discovered the reMarkable Paper Pro Move now comes in a notepad size that actually fits in my bag, it shot straight to the top of my wish list. It gives you that satisfying handwritten feel without the chaos of loose lists and random scraps of paper, and it converts your notes to text, syncs them to the cloud, and keeps everything organized and searchable. For grocery lists, ideas, planning and all the little thoughts I don’t want living in my Notes app, this feels like the perfect blend of analog comfort and digital ease — and exactly what I’ve been missing.

LOEWE Pebble Embellished Leather Bucket Bag

2. LOEWE Pebble Embellished Leather Bucket Bag, $2,900

This Loewe ‘Pebble’ bag is one of those pieces I’ve been quietly obsessing over — it’s stunning, timeless, and beautifully made… the kind of luxury I just can’t justify buying for myself right now (kids/college). The soft tan leather (though I wouldn’t be mad at black either) and that effortless bucket shape make it a dream for everyday wear, with just enough room for all my essentials. It’s the perfect blend of practicality and elegance, which is exactly why it’s on my holiday wish list.

Aveine Precise and Instant Wine Aerator

3. Aveine Precise and Instant Wine Aerator, $399

Even though I’m drinking a lot less these days, my husband and I still love opening a great bottle of wine now and then — and this gadget makes every pour even better. The new Aveine Wine AERATOR instantly adjusts the aeration (from 1 to 24 hours!) with the touch of a button, so your wine tastes like it’s been perfectly decanted without any waiting. It’s beautifully designed, easy to use, fits any bottle, and the app even tells you the ideal aeration time for whatever you’re drinking. It’s one of those luxuries I would absolutely love to unwrap.

Reformation Morning Doug Jacket

4. Reformation Morning Doug Jacket, $348

Do I need another black jacket? Absolutely not. But do I want this one from Reformation? A thousand percent. The Morning Doug Jacket has that tailored, dramatic, slightly theatrical vibe that makes it look completely different from anything else in my closet — and yes, I checked. It’s one of those pieces I know I’d wear for years (hello, cost per wear), and the fact that Reformation is a sustainable brand just makes me love it more. This is the kind of “I’d never buy it for myself, but I’d be thrilled to unwrap it” holiday gift. OK, I might buy it myself but don’t tell my husband.

Exoceuticals EXO Essentials Set

5. Exoceuticals EXO Essentials Set, $383.60

If you’ve been following me for a while, you already know I’m fully obsessed with Exoceuticals — their exosome-powered formulas have completely changed my skin. So of course the EXO Essentials Holiday Gift Set is on my wish list. It’s the ultimate trio for anyone who wants firmer, brighter, more hydrated skin, with EXO Body, EXO Plus, and EXO H-Serum working together to boost elasticity, repair, and overall radiance. It instantly elevates any skincare routine and truly delivers that healthy, lifted, midlife glow we’re all after. This is one of those sets I’d be thrilled to receive… and honestly, you will be too.

Calpak Luka Large Duffel

6. Calpak Luka Large Duffel, now $142.40

As a chronic overpacker who has finally mastered the art of the carry-on (well… for trips under five days), I can confidently say this CALPAK Luka Large Duffel Bag is the one. It’s technically your “personal item,” but it fits under the seat (so your suitcase can fit above) while packing an unbelievable amount — plus it has all the smart features: tons of pockets, a hidden valuables compartment, an interior shoe section, and a trolley sleeve that makes airport navigation effortless. The puffy, cloud-like fabric is durable and chic, and the padded straps make it genuinely comfortable to carry. It’s the perfect travel companion I would totally buy myself but would be thrilled to unwrap — and trust me, you’ll use it constantly.

Renpho MorphoScan Smart Body Scale

7. Renpho MorphoScan Smart Body Scale, $159.99

I know what you’re thinking… a scale? But hear me out. I weigh myself every morning because I like to know what I’m working with, and while I’ve used a Renpho Smart Scale for years, this new MorphoScan Smart Body Scale is on another level. It gives you over 50 body metrics using advanced BIA technology — everything from body fat and muscle mass to metabolic age and visceral fat — with real-time data you can see right on the scale or in the app. If you like having clear, accurate information to stay on track with your health (or just stay honest with yourself), this is the ultimate upgrade — and exactly the kind of practical gift I’d appreciate.

Ali Weiss Single Diamond Hand Chain

8. Ali Weiss Single Diamond Hand Chain, $600

This one even surprises me. I never thought I’d be the woman who wanted a hand chain — yet here we are, and I not-so-secretly love this Ali Weiss Single Diamond Hand Chain. It’s delicate, modern, and just a little glamorous with its 14k gold and single white diamond. And yes, you’d think I could test-drive the trend with a faux version, but I’m ridiculously allergic to most metals… so only real gold will do. What can I say? I’m expensive — but at least I know what works for me.

Reformation Tula Oversized Coat

9. Reformation Tula Oversized Coat, $448

Until I decide what to do with my mom’s fur, I’m absolutely swooning over this chocolate brown Reformation Tula Oversized Coat. It’s that effortlessly chic, collared, tie-waist silhouette that becomes a repeatable winter uniform, and the oversized cut makes it feel modern and relaxed in the best way. Even better, it’s made from a luxurious Manteco wool blend — 70% post-consumer recycled wool, hand-blended in Italy with fewer chemicals and less water. It’s sustainable, timeless and downright gorgeous.

Hope there is something in here you like too. Happy Holidays!
