Whether it was the Devil Wears Prada reunion with Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway or Barbara Streisand’s tearjerker speech when she accepted the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award, the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards were full of great moments and great looks on the red carpet. Let’s take a look at the SAG Awards 2024 fashion from the best to worst dressed celebrities.
SAG Awards 2024 Fashion on The Red Carpet
Nothing stood out as too crazy for me – except maybe Ali Wong’s contraption of a number – but I did enjoy the statuesque, fitted silhouettes and jewel tones on A-listers like Anne Hathaway,
This was my personal favorite look of the night. Anne Hathaway just really upped her game in the style department in the past few years and this is just one of the MANY stellar results.

I’m surprised that Emily Blunt didn’t pick a floral look, but not surprised she looks so incredible.
How old is this girl? 16? I LOVE this look – really love it – but surprised a 16-year old could pull it off. Does it feel too old to you?
I saw this at first and thought to put it in the Worst Dressed section. But I really can’t deny the talent of Iris van Herpen. Do I feel like Ali Wong should have worn it to the 30th annual SAG Awards. Hard NO. I’m not even certain she can pull it off. Granted, she was supposed to wear it to the Golden Globes or another bigger awards night. But the logistics of this dress makes it hard to sit in the designated spot. I’m sure you can tell. So yes I will respect it for what it is but I’m in love with the way Ali Wong carries it.
Surprise, surprise, it’s a mermaid gown for Ms. Halle Bailey! Are people going to be saying that from now on every time The Little Mermaid actress wears a mermaid number. I do like the color and the gown looks great on her.
I’m a fan of this neckline.
Of course the best part of this outfit was the cardboard box she carried along made by her daughter. I thought that was really special.
People were raving about this gown and I’m not sure why. It’s nice, but it feels too matronly for Penelope Cruz, even with the shine.
SAG Awards 2024 Fashion: The Metallics
What’s an awards show red carpet without metallics?
I’m not in love with the champagne color but everything Carey Mulligan wears is divine and absolutely perfectly tailored to her silhouette.
Another champagne-hued masterpiece.
Black is Back
And did it ever really leave? Definitely not. I’m a fan of the unique ways celebs like Jessica Chastain, Quinta Brunson and other actresses wore their black looks at the awards ceremony.
Of course no awards show this season can be complete with Margot Robbie’s take on Barbie.
I am loving some of these necklines!
I would have preferred this dress without the draping over the shoulders. Even though it was different it made the look more matronly.
I almost thought about putting this on the worst dressed list. There’s all kinds of things going on…half a tux, some purple fabric on the other side… But I don’t know, I still like it.
SAG Awards 2024 Fashion: Worst Dressed
There were probably people who liked this dress but I definitely didn’t. The combination of the crop top with the volume skirt and the washed out pink. If you’ve been following my posts over the years, you might know that I am not a fan of gowns in light pink.
Again, not the worst thing I’ve ever seen, but she looks like she’s wearing a blanket for a dress.
I know this is supposed to be all kinds of whimsy but I did not like the look for the SAGs. Do you agree?
She was a style star in the COVID years! I’ve definitely seen her look better.
Those tiers are all kinds of yuck and I hate the collar.
