She’s no longer the sweet, blonde 90s teen pop star who sings the song “Candy.” Mandy Moore, the singer, actress, and A-lister celeb has evolved in more ways than one, since becoming an actress in the early 00s. That was essentially the moment Mandy Moore became a grown up – also in the fashion department – trading in edgy leather pants and miniskirts for elegant frocks and bold, showstopping color.
Mandy Moore Celebrity Style
As she became more and more well known, thanks in large part to the hype of the popular show “This Is Us,” her fashion got better and better. It included print pantsuits, little black dresses with lace detailing, and sequined skirts that made a statement but weren’t over-the-top.
Even the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has stepped up her style, as she made appearances at a slew of talk shows like Ellen, Kelly Clarkson, and Late Night With Seth Meyers clad in stylish numbers like a Monse dress with draped paneling and an asymmetric hemline, Ami Paris turtleneck and sequin embroidered skirt and Etro print pantsuit.

But there was another event on the horizon that also took her fashion prowess to another level. Mandy Moore and husband Taylor Goldsmith announced they were expecting their first child in early 2021. (Who knows, she may have given birth already.) That didn’t damper her style though. Instead, she began wearing her share of fashionable free flowing dresses that still gave her some freedom in the middle.
I’m not saying you have to be pregnant to wear these dresses. Just that Mandy Moore is indeed an inspiration to us all to stay stylish as our bodies change. These dresses are fabulous for anyone and everyone. She is like a sister or daughter to some of our readers and it’s fun to see how happy (and fashionable) she is during her pregnancy.
Mandy Moore in The Great
Mandy Moore has proven she definitely loves her bold, wild, and feminine prints but also her easygoing dresses that make looking stylish a breeze. At 30 weeks, she’s also shown she loves the brand The Great, a lifestyle brand by Emily Current & Meritt Elliott that’s known for its distinct worldview and playful nostalgic take on American classics, according to the company’s Instagram account.
Mandy looks divine in The Ornament dress, a floral wonder with its intricate embroidery detailing along the flowy silk body and gathered sleeves with tassels for added closure.
This isn’t the first time Mandy has worn the blossoming brand and it certainly won’t be the last. And why not? It represents everything Ms. Moore stands for authenticity, optimism, and a spirit of creative fearlessness in life.
When you connect with a brand in both style and message, you’ll want to wear it again and again. So it’s no surprise that Mandy also chose to pose in this embroidered Dot Terrace Dress from The Great. The dress has something very feminine and very Mandy about it, from the pleated body to the ruffle detailing along the sleeves. It also has a very forgiving middle, which at the present time makes it perfect for the actress.
Mandy Moore In Oscar de la Renta
Mandy recently spoke to Romper magazine, a digital destination for millennial moms, about “this surreal moment in her life on the precipice of parenthood” at 34 weeks. She captured the moment in a slew of powerful dresses, one of them being this shiny fuschia-colored one (pictured) and another a bold red oversize puff sleeve gown from Oscar de La Renta. Then there was the off-the-shoulder dress with the buttons down the front, which looked like a deconstructed white button down shirt. That one also made an impact.
Mandy Moore in Cara Cara
In late December, Mandy Moore made a statement in a black and white leopard print Maidstone Dress from Cara Cara. The effortless dress, with its smocked back and self-tie front, embodies Mandy’s style, especially during pregnancy, with its no fuss silhouette.
While Mandy’s current pregnancy style is a little more dressed down, she had the opportunity to model the special occasion piece for a good cause. Customers who bought the dress and used the code LAFOODBANK triggered a 20% donation to the LA Regional Food Bank, just in time for Christmas.
Mandy Moore in Hatch
Last but not least, Mandy’s Sofia Dress from Hatch was one of the few actual maternity dresses she wore as her belly popped. The romantic frock is made from Japanese crinkle cotton with blouson sleeves and “understated” puff shoulders. It also comes with an adjustable tie at the waist with an elastic band at the back to grow with the soon-to-be mama from timester-to-trimester.
I have a feeling she will keep wearing this easy dress even after the baby is born.
