Fashion Shows. Fashion Week Has Gone to the Dogs (Really). Second City Style Fashion Blog

I love my dog probably more than the next person, but my need to dress him in clothing stops at a ‘manly sweater’ and only when it’s freezing. Let’s be honest here, he’s a dog and I’d rather spend the money on my wardrobe. Such is not the case with some people who chose to spoil their pets like bratty children. I digress.

Pampered_pooch_1_2 According to and article in yesterday’s NYPost, Pet Fashion Week starts this Saturday. Now stop laughing and read on…spending on American pets is expected to top $40 billion this year. The Dog Whisperer must be shaking his head. What the heck are people with crazy amounts of disposable income buying you ask? How about a $3,000 bottle of pooch perfume, or an $8,000 Swarovski crystal encrusted doggie vest or a $200,000 diamond collar? Next time I question myself about dropping to much on a pair of designer shoes, I will think of idiocy and feel just fine.
