Fashion Headlines: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley For Prabal Gurung, Topshop's Expansion, Numéro Magazine Purchased

Prabal Gurung Fall Campaign, Rosie Huntington-Whitely
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley For Prabal Gurung
Prabal Gurung has tapped Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to star in his fall campaign. Playing the role of a traveler, the model actress was photographed by Daniel Jackson against a mountain themed set made by Gerard Santos. Impressively, the beautiful backdrop was built, not Photoshopped. Gurung has known Huntington-Whiteley for a long time and said, “I’ve seen her progression and how she’s moved on. What I like is that she hasn’t limited herself to being just a model. There is a factor about her that she wants to try- she wants to go for it- and I like that.”
Topshop’s Global Expansion
Topshop is planning a huge global expansion in 2015. Over the next nine months, new stores are set to open in San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Washington and Manhattan. The new 40,000-square-foot NYC flagship will be the second largest in the world and will open in early November. The company is investing $50 million to build and furnish US stores. Plans to expand in Europe, Hong Kong and Mainland China are also in the works. In addition, Topshop has unveiled its fall campaign featuring Cara Delevingne.
Numéro Magazine Has Been Purchased
Nathalie Ayache has sold Numéro magazine, a publication of her late husband Alain Ayache’s media group, to advertising executive andentrepreneur Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers. The cofounder of advertising agency Mazarine, Reiffers is now the sole proprietor of the glossy fashion magazine. There are plans to keep the publication’s staff intact, including founder and editor in chief Babeth Djian. Digital versions of the magazine will be the main focus now. The deal includes Numéro’s foreign editions in Russia, China, Japan and Thailand.
