There was a mash of fashion history and car design last Thursday night. The combination of fashion icon and organizer of international WWII medical relief Millicent Rogers and the history of her own 1937 Delage Aerosport motor vehicle were front and center at Cooper Technica, Inc. amongst recently restored cars and hanging vintage bicycles. Author Cherie Burns has just published Millicent Rogers’ biography “Searching for Beauty: The Life of Millicent Rogers” and David Cooper is currently restoring Rogers’ original Delage Aerosport to its original authenticity.
Cherie Burns and David Cooper both intertwined the life of Millicent Rogers with one of her favorite and final automobiles. Cooper Technica, Inc. was founded in 1989 to specialize in complete restorations of rare and valuable vintage automobiles, especially pre-war and early post-war European sports and touring cars. The only restoration facilities are in France and Chicago for woodworking, metalworking and rebuilding.
