The stars descended on the South of France to celebrate the finest international cinema! If the Met Gala is the biggest fashion event of the year, the Cannes Film Festival 2024 comes a pretty close second. The annual spectacle brings standout looks for and the red carpet, black-tie affairs and the best in luxury resort wear, thanks to the gorgeous weather.

The event may have been last month, but we’re still thinking about it. Here are some of the best dressed celebs from the Cannes Film Festival.
Demi Moore: Best Dressed
Demi Moore must be drinking the same Kool Aid as Ralph Macchio. She’s 61-years old, but you’d never know it from these photos.

In Cannes promote her film The Substance, Demi was the talk of the town. The film features her in a deeply provocative role, which is her most substantial in years. Interestingly, it’s not just because the movie tackles ageism and sexism, but also because Moore’s “triumphant comeback skewers the sexism that Hollywood threw at her.”
And how she shined in the style department. I don’t think I disliked one look she wore. They were all so great. Demi made a number of appearances in gorgeous gowns on the red carpet, then opted for blue Balenciaga at the Trophee Chopard ceremony and white Loewe to host the amfAR gala.
And then there were the more casual events like the Chopard “Once Upon A Time” party and a photo call for The Substance, where she donned a classic Elie Saab polka dot midi dress with Aquazzurra shoes.
She really is aging backwards!
Demi may have been the star, but there were a number of other fashionistas that took our breath away on the red carpet as well.
Cate Blanchett, who almost never disappoints in the fashion department, was one of them. And her looks never show too much skin, or feel over-the-top sexy. Just pure fashion.
I wasn’t a fan of Anya Taylor-Joy’s giant floppy hat which she wore a lot, but this Old Hollywood glamour from Dior is giving pure elegance.
I loved all the blue we saw on the red carpet this year, like an homage to the gorgeous Mediterranean. Diane Kruger always looks divine. Hunter Schafer in Armani Prive and Joey King in Cong Tri also took my breath away.
Selena Gomez may only be 31, but she’s giving all of the other actresses around her a run for their money. Stellar look after stellar look and none of them were risque or crazy. Check out this lovely Giambatista Valli frock with floral up top.
Some of the other looks that got my attention included the lovely cropped navy blazer worn by Coco Rocha which looked even better paired with wide-leg jeans.
Aubrey Plaza’s Miu Miu dress in a retro print may just be my favorite Aubrey Plaza look of all time.
