Happy 2026! It’s out with the old and in with the new, right? Wrong! When it comes to fashion, that rule doesn’t always apply. As 2025 came to a close, I took a look back at my favorite fashion trends from the year—and the good news is that every single one of them still works beautifully in 2026.

As you know, each season I like to highlight the best runway trends for women over 50. (And yes, I’m over 50 myself, which is exactly why I do this—these are the styles I truly wear and love.) This post was originally shared at the beginning of December, but it is even more relevant now as we step into a new year.

I’m never here to tell you what you should or shouldn’t wear. Think of this as inspiration—a curated look at timeless, wearable trends that go beyond one season. That’s why the top trends of 2025 (or any year, for that matter) are often the best looks to wear next year—or forever. There’s something exciting about seeing a favorite style come back “in” and knowing exactly how to wear it well. Fashion experience comes with age, and that experience is what makes personal style shine.

Here are 10 of the best fashion trends from 2025 to wear in 2026 and beyond. The first five come from Spring 2025, and the last five from the Fall 2025 collections.

1. Pretty in Pastel Pink

This pretty, candy-colored pastel pink dominated the Spring 2025 runways—and it’s flattering on women over 50 and women of all ages. Soft pink adds freshness without feeling too sweet.
