We first shared this post earlier in the season, but as we head into winter and with fur-trim details still showing up everywhere, it’s time to revisit it. I adore the retro vibe of fur collars and cuffs, and even though it’s trending again, the look is totally timeless. Fur trim adds a touch of luxe (and coziness) to any outfit — making it a perfect way to elevate your cold-weather wardrobe.
Fur Trim Trend On The Fall/ Winter Runways
This season, designers incorporated fur into everything from collar accents to cuffs and hems. Prabal Gurung showed a contrasting oversized fur collar on a maxi coat, Valentino trimmed a prim skirt suit with fur, and Prada featured a cascading fur-trimmed collar on a menswear-inspired look.
The contrast of fur, shearling or faux fur trim against woven fabrics, plaids, tweeds, knits, leather or suede makes a simple fashion piece feel instantly special.
