Bonnie_bell_4 No, I am not 12. However, I love Bonne Bell Lip Smackers, OK? I had every flavor under the sun when I was little. Bubble gum, 7-Up, Watermelon, Peppermint, and Dr. Pepper (which I tried to use as blush). I had long since give them up for more expensive top coats until I noticed a friend of mine pull a small ‘Bubble Gum’ out of her cosmetic bag a few years ago, "it’s the best, I swear."

My next trip to the drugstore I purchased one. Actually it was in a tube which I thought looked a little more adult. I think I chose strawberry. Well, my friend was right. All these years I had endured sticky, flavorless lip glosses, glasses, glace… whatever they were called. Bonne Bell is not sticky. When one has a dog and lives in the Windy City it is imperative that your hair does not stick to your lips. Viola…the perfect product.

Bonne Bell was started by Jesse G. Bell in 1927, who named the company after his daughter.  Lip Smacker lip gloss was introduced in 1973 and remains to this day their most popular brand. The first flavor created was Strawberry and today, there are tons of flavors to choose from including: Dr. Pepper, Cherry, Bubble Gum, Skittles Wild Raspberry, Passion Fruit, Orange Pop, Peppermint, M & M, Grape Jelly, Vanilla, Starfruit, Pink Lemonade, Raspberry Chocolate, Jelly Bean, Kiwi, Mango…
