NYFW Fall 17: Oscar de la Renta’s New Designers Get it Right

Creative Directors Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim showed their Monse collection right before the debut of their Oscar de la Renta NYFW Fall 17 Collection. While I loved the innovation, tailoring, edginess and ‘coolness’ of Monse, it was Oscar de la Renta that stood out for me. I think Oscar de la Renta would be thrilled with this collection!

This past February 3 marked the 15th Annual National Wear Red Day which was started back in 2003 to bring national attention to the undisputed fact that heart disease is the #1 killer of women (it kills six times more women than breast cancer), and to raise awareness of women’s heart health.

NYFW Fall ’17: Milly Grows Up

Yes Michelle Smith’s Milly NYFW Fall ’17 was called “Fractured” since that’s how she obviously feels about the state of affairs in this country since the recent election. I for one hate mixing politics with fashion so I am not going to go there. You could tell Smith was afraid to show the bright colors she is usually fond of and to me that was a delightful surprise!
