What To Wear When You Are Sick Of Winter!

It seems like winter has dragged on forever and a day this year, especially if you live on the East Coast or in the Midwest. And while we’re probably all had enough of the snow and slush, we’re even more tired of our winter wardrobes! Here are 6 ideas for what to wear when you are sick of winter.

Lighten Or Brighten Your Mane

Changing up your hair color is one of the easiest (and a classic) ways to update your outlook. Adding some fresh hues/highlights or simply getting a new haircut can go a long way. Or go with one of 2018’s hottest trends, dirty blonde (which can work on a lot of different complexions if you get the right shade!).

Buy Some New Sunglasses

Even if it’s chilly, the sun’s still (hopefully) coming out, so changing up your shades can be a smart way to change your mood. We’re loving aviators this season (like this pair by Quay Australia), but to liven things up further, why not put some crystals, like this pair of sunglasses from Leith?

Get A Spring Manicure or Pedicure

Put away the winter hues and go for something tropical or a bright pastel on your digits! If you prefer to keep your fingers neutral, there’s always the pedicure option, since you’re probably still wearing boots anyways! We like all the shades in the Deborah Lippmann Touch Me In The Morning nail kit, but the slightly grayish sky blue might be the most perfect for the changing seasons.

Experiment With New Layering Tricks

One of the positive things about cooler weather is that you can layer up without overheating. We love the idea of a cropped sweater like this one by Kenneth Cole layered over a button down and skinnies, or try it over a lighter dress for a unique silhouette.

Create New Pairings

Speaking of lighter dresses, try your boots and booties with your spring dresses and skirts. Sometimes the combo can be surprisingly chic; for instance, something like this Madewell floral dress would be adorable with tan or cognac boots.

Buy A Denim Jacket

Just trust us, a denim jacket is the perfect seasonal transitional piece to layer over your lighter spring and summer ensemble. Invest in something like this Simon Miller black denim version that’s perfectly cropped, or go cheap and cheerful with this Calvin Klein Jeans jacket.
