Last week, Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana put together an over-the-top haute couture, multi-day “extravaganza” to showcase its latest Alta Moda line, and it was nothing short of spectacular! For the first time, celebrated designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana decided to take their Alta Moda collection (first introduced in 2012) to New York City, where they were joined by moneyed clients and elegantly dressed celebs at a slew of events all over the city. Of course we checked out the fashion at the Dolce and Gabbana Alta Moda events this year.

The first was Alta Gioielleria, where a fine jewelry presentation was followed by a charity auction hosted by the lavishly dressed Sarah Jessica Parker at the New York Public Library. The jewels were otherworldly. SJP modeled the necklace, earrings and bracelet that were auctioned for charity. Next up was Alta Sartoria where menswear was followed by a performance by Liza Minnelli at The Rainbow Room. The women’s Alta Moda runway show was where celebs like Catherine Zeta-Jones and Diane Kruger sat in the front row to watch Karlie Kloss (dressed as a bird) and Naomi Campbell (the Statue of Liberty) walk the runway at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Let’s see how good the select celebs looked dressed in their Dolce & Gabbana:

It’s been a little while since I’ve seen Sarah Jessica Parker in one of these crazy looks, but when she does high fashion, she pulls out all the stops. I’m sure the Carrie comparisons were on everyone’s lips during the charity auction.

Dare I say it? Carys Douglas, daughter of Catherine Zeta-Jones, looks even more gorgeous than she does.

That’s one crazy, unflattering ensemble.
