Nordstrom Taps Caroline Issa
Caroline Issa has designed a 25-piece collection for Nordstrom as part of the Nordstrom Signature series. Called Nordstrom Signature x Caroline Issa, the collection will be available year-round and is set to include pre-fall and resort collections. Starting in February, the collection will be available online and in stores. “Caroline is a well-regarded style icon and, moreover, is curious, really smart, chic and charming. We think she brings a highly credible perspective to understanding the women’s fashion customer,” said Pete Nordstrom, the retailer’s president of merchandising. Prices will range from $225 and $2,995.
Victoria Beckham’s Wardrobe Can Be Yours
Victoria Beckham is partnering with The Outnet to sell more than 600 items of her personal clothing. A percentage of the proceeds will go to mothers2mothers, a nonprofit organization that helps mothers living with HIV. The private sale will go live August 20th to 25th and registration is now open at theoutnet.com. “I laughed a lot when we were going through my wardrobe, as the pieces hold so many happy memories for me, David and the children. A lot of the clothes have been specially designed for me by the most talented designers, and I’ve loved wearing them,” Beckham said. Clothes sold will include Spice Girls costumes, party looks and awards show dresses. A selection of 10 iconic pieces will be part of a “Going, Going, Gone” reverse auction. Women who wear a size zero can rejoice.
Jillian Michaels Activewear to Debut
Fitness guru Jillian Michaels has partnered with Kmart to launch a line of activewear. Called The Impact by Jillian Michaels, the collection will be available online Sunday and at stores August 17th. The 24 styles will feature moisture wicking, reflective detailing and will come in a variety of colors. Prices will range from $10.99 to $36.99.  “I was involved in the creation of every single item in the collection. I couldn’t possibly pick a favorite. I’m proud of each and every item,” Michaels said. She rose to fame as a coach on “The Biggest Loser” and is also an author, entrepreneur, martial artist, trainer and health expert.
