Thanksgiving with my family is always casual. So I like to wear something that is comfortable and practical, yet stylish all at the same time. A chic Thanksgiving outfit sets the holiday season off on the right foot. After all, it’s a time to celebrate with family and friends, a little wine and a lot of food. One way to stay comfy while prepping (and eating) is with a wide leg pair of jeans, a T-shirt (in case you feel warm in the kitchen), and a colorful belted cardigan to wrap yourself up in, and to look festive and presentable at the dinner table. Even though there is a chill in the air, if you plan on being in the kitchen to cook or to help out, a short sleeve tee shirt is the perfect base layer. A T-shirt is a simple hot-flash remedy too! Then you can top it off with your colorful cardigan for the rest of the party. This Rosetta Getty ribbed cotton-jersey top is gorgeous and fits beautifully with its elbow length sleeves for $325. The Wide Leg Jeans
I may sound like a broken record, but I think every woman over 50 needs a pair of high waist wide leg jeans. They are extremely comfortable and they fit better than your old 90s jeans. Classic Penny Loafers
I am not the classic penny loafer type, but I like how they work under a pair of wide leg pants. It is a more modern way to wear wide leg pants instead of with towering platforms (which is also a trend that is back that you may like to try). The classic loafer flats ground the wide legs and ensure you will be comfortable! Invest in a pair of Saint Laurent Le Loafers for $795 or (wait a minute, aren’t those Bass Weejuns?) Pop of Color Shoulder Bag In Orange
