Summer Foot Care: Get Sandal Ready With DIY Pedicure Products

Summer Foot Care, Beauty, sandal ready, Pedicures, foot balms, polish
You can pretty much get away with mangy feet in the winter, but summer is when your feet obviously need to look their best. I have found some tremendous products to ensure your feet look sandal ready 24/7 without the need to run to the salon for a pedicure every other week. Besides, your feet take a beating and they support you. They need some TLC.
1. Rituals Tao Quin Fa Foot Scrub, $16
2. Rituals Tao Lao Tze Foot Balm, $15
These first two go together beautifully. First scrub your feet in the shower to revitalize them and then use this cooling balm to sooth them. Your feet will thank you and the whole process takes about a minute.
3. Clarisonic Pedi Foot Transformation Set, $199
If you want to go smooth and soften dull, rough feet at home between professional pedicures, the Pedi Sonic Foot Transformation System will take care of dry, rough patches. A trio of formulas dissolve away rough, dead skin to renew, exfoliate and hydrate. I have and love this set.
4. Diamancel Flexible Diamond Nail File, $28
To file toe nails (which can be tricky to reach at times, especially as we get older) you need a longer, flexible file. Built by bonding diamonds to a flexible material, this high-performance, long-lasting, washable Diamancel nail file is ideal for shaping and maintaining nails. Because it’s thin it navigates effortlessly under and around the nails, and works in all directions. It’s great on finger nails too.
5. Amopé Pedi Perfect Electronic Pedicure Foot File, now $34.75
OK, let’s talk. If you have hard callouses, you need this tool. It gently, yet effectively removes that embarrassing hard skin from your feet in seconds. The roller spins 360 degrees for quick and safe results. I love to use mine on my heels and they are perfection this summer. Men should have one too!
6. Skinn Cosmetics Foot Fetish Heel Balm, $24
Once I read Carol’s review of this heel balm I had to try it myself. It now lives on my nightstand. I too love the fragrance, and I have to admit, I also rub it on my hands.
7. CND Cuticle Eraser, Now $15.95
I hate ragged cuticles. It’s my pet peeve. So I use this cuticle eraser on both my finger and toe nails. It dissolves the bond between dead skin cells and sloughs them away to reveal tight healthy tissue which means pretty.

8. Cricket 1/4 Jaw Pro Cuticle Nipper, now $29.93
I have to admit I am always clipping hangnails and rough edges, I’m almost OCD. The Cricket Cuticle Clipper is heavy duty, made of stainless steel and ultra sharp. It’s my favorite hands down.
9. Josie Maran Bear Naked Nail Wipes, $9
I personally feel the worst assault on our nails and surrounding skin is nail polish remover. At least most of them. These wipes however are gentle and multitasking. They remove nail polish, repair dry cuticles, and promote healthy nails. Oh and they actually smell good. Bear Naked Nail Wipes are infused with organic Argan oil and have a grapefruit scent.
10. CND VINYLUX Top Coat Weekly Polish Creative Nail Design Manicure Lacquer, $10.50 with CND – VINYLUX Hot Pop Pink 121 Weekly Polish Nail Bright Neon Manicure, $10.50
Get high definition color and gloss that lasts a week (or longer) CND VINYLUX dries in under 9 minutes without the use of an LED or UV Lamp. The self-adhering color coat means NO base coat either.
11. Essie Nail Corrector Pen, $14
Since I paint like my 5 year-old son, a corrector pen is imperative. This one is my favorite.
