How To Dress 15 Years Younger: Wear A Midi – Paris Fashion Week Street Style

Paris Couture Fashion Week 2015, Street, WWD, Kuba Danbrowski photo While browsing through Paris Couture Fashion Week street style photos I was glad to take a cue from women at least 15 years younger: wear a midi dress! Yes, you can dress like the chic (and smart) women in Paris who are wearing skirts over thier knees. I’m on board with this trend. The trick to the midi dress trend is to not simply go back to the 80s.

Today’s midi’s don’t go with a perm, shoulder pads and low heeled Princess Diana pumps. (She actually looks cuter in the 80s in this photo than I remembered, but I digress). I found some midi’s that will work with a variety of body types and vice-versa. (Selfishly, I can wear all of these dresses because they are forgiving). The thing they have in common is their ease. And what a thrill to not have to worry about your knees! Here are the midi’s I would wear if I were in Paris for Couture Fashion Week (or any street stateside for that matter). I would wear them with flat sandals or sneakers for day and higher heels for evening.
