The Side Stripe Fashion Trend
This trend started to rise during the Fall 2018 shows (maybe even earlier, as it had some popularity around five years ago) but has surprisingly maintained its uptrend into Spring 2019. It was incorporated seamlessly into the lavishness of fall’s rich prints and textures. The Dennis Basso show is the perfect example, which featured multiple versions with bold stripes down the sides of plaid wool pants and sparkly wide leg trousers. Guess what? They all worked and I want them all!How To Wear The Side Stripe Trend
The side stripe trend is definitely my style: not too girly, but you can dress it up if you see fit. Out of all of my digging on this trend, two of my absolute favorite pieces are this Rag & Bone Varsity Striped Wool Cardigan and these Chloe Lace-Up Combat Boots. I would wear these together with a white V-neck t-shirt underneath and your favorite black jeans. You can also wear the side stripe trend to work with a more dressed up interpretation like these Diane von Furstenberg Wool Tuxedo pants. Pair them with an oversized black blazer over a silk top. Bonus style points due to the bold pink color! Finally, you can just keep it simple, and try out a side stripe on jeans. These Mother Striped Jeans will do the trick with a cozy cardigan and some crisp clean sneakers or low leather ankle boots.
