Saks Fifth Avenue Chicago To Open New Shoe Salon: 10022-SHOE

The NYC Salon

Saks Fifth Avenue made headlines back in 2007 when they introduced an entire floor dedicated to shoes in the New York City flagship store. The salon was so expansive that it received its own very stylish “zip code,” 10022-SHOE.
The Windy City will soon have its very own shoe mecca at the Chicago store. The 3,330 square foot expanded shoe floor will welcome many new designers such as Brian Atwood, Jerome Rousseau, Fendi and Nicholas Kirkwood. Just like its counterpart in New York City, the salon will also be a Saks branded 10022-SHOE salon. The new shopping destination will be a beautiful tribute to the store and footwear designers with designer icon shops on the second, third and fourth floors.
On another exciting note, this major renovation is the perfect opportunity for some great designer visits in the fall—Brian Atwood will be here on Thursday, September 8th for Fashion’s Night Out and Jerome Rousseau will be there on Wednesday, October 5th.
Make sure to hold out on your shoe excursions because the renovation is scheduled to be complete by Labor Day. Vice President and General Manager Jeff Byron stated that, “Our grand opening plan is very much a community event and an opportunity for us to position Saks Fifth Avenue Chicago as the destination for shoes.” Finally, the well-heeled fashionistas of Chicago will have a holy site on Michigan Avenue.
