Royal Wedding Arrivals And Bridal Party: Who Wore What?

Hats

You'd think Victoria Beckham would succumb to the designer pressure.  After all, there were so many Philip Treacy feathered hats in the room and other accomplished miliner's made their royal wedding debuts, whether it was a pointed royal blue cap, a lime green fascinator, or a wide-brimmed headpiece with giant bow.

So when Victoria Beckham showed up in her ensemble from her very own VB A/W 2011 collection, she had a lot of eyes looking her up and down. Would she live up to her famous name? And somehow she did—with a sultry subdued conservative sexiness that was aptly conveyed in navy, despite her growing belly. Nobody was looking at the dress, though.  They were gawking at that unusual Philip Treacy hat and sky-high signature Victoria Beckham heels customized by Christian Louboutin.  Guess she's not worried about falling?

Her husband, David Beckham, charmed in his Ralph Lauren grey suit with top hat. He sported his Order of the British Empire medal on the lapel.

Other celebrities dotted the Abbey.  Elton John and David Furnish, of course. Singer Joss Stone. Comedian Rowan Atkinson. Joss Stone strayed from her typical bohemian look and opted for red with a wide brimmed hat! Loved it!

While all eyes were on Kate, they were also on Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry's on-again, off-again girlfriend. Would she be next in line? She wore a customized Alberta Ferretti dress.

Sarah Burton was, of course, in the audience and Kate had a lot to thank her for. The dress was absolutely stunning. Burton, herself, spoke up afterwards and said that she felt honored that Kate had chosen her.

Now, for the royals. Can we say how darling Queen Sofia, Prince Felipe, and Princess Letizia looked? The Prince and Princess of Asturius looked stunning with Felipe's mother. Princess Letizia looked dainty in pink (and what a perfect hat to match!)

So sadly Fergie was asked to keep a low profile on the big day (bad move on part of the royal family, I personally think!) but her daughters were there to celebrate. Prince William's cousins Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice looked dapper, and honestly happy to be there, in their blue and peach-pink ensembles complete with statement-making Philip Treacy fascinators.

Princess
The groom's cousins, daughters of Prince Andrew and Fergie, arrive to the wedding in top form – check out those fascinators by Philip Treacy! Other royalty? Prince Albert and his fiance were there.

Now, of course, we can't end this post without mentioning the true stars of the evening, the little bridesmaids! They were dolled up in British designer Nicky MacFarlane.

Carole
Surprisngly, Kate's mother Carole Middleton wore Catherine Walker, which was a Princess Diana favorite.

Camilla Parker-Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall and stepmother to the groom, wore an Anna Valentine champagne dress with a two tone coat and a Philip Treacy hat.

Queen

Queen Elizabeth II herself wore something from her personal assistant Angela Kelly.  How many older woman want to be dressed as glamorous as her right now? She looked quite stunning in canary yellow, a color no one thought she could pull off!

Pippa2
And of course, one can't end this post without mentioning Pippa Middleton, who is now England's most eligible bachelorette! She surprised us all when she chose white, like Kate, though she let her sister take the limelight.  Pippa also wore a custom made Alexander McQueen creation.
