The Best Red Carpet Fashion at the 2025 Golden Globes (and the Worst!)

The 82nd Golden Globes were a spectacular night for television, film, and – of course – fashion. While some celebs missed the mark, others turned heads for all the right reasons, delivering unforgettable red carpet moments that left us in awe. Here’s a look at the red carpet fashion at the 2025 Golden Globes.

Red Carpet Fashion at the 2025 Golden Globes

From sleek silhouettes to dazzling embellishments, feathery black frocks and menswear-inspired tailoring, this year’s best-dressed stars reminded us why the Globes are as much about style as they are about celebrating talent.

Zendaya’s fiery red bob perfectly complemented her striking gown, while Nicole Kidman stunned in a slinky, dramatic ensemble that redefined elegance. Not to be outdone, Anya Taylor-Joy brought soft sophistication in a champagne-colored satin cowl-neck dress that epitomized Old Hollywood glamour. These are just some of the A-listers who understood the assignment and gave us a night to remember. There were also more than a few duds.

Let’s dive into the standout fashion moments of the evening and celebrate the stars who nailed their looks at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards.

The Best Dressed

Viola Davis in Gucci

I know this probably wasn’t the standout look of the night, but it was my personal favorite. Believe it or not, this is a rewear. Viola wore this look to the 2024 LACMA Gala in November, but this time it was “reimagined” with new colorful embellishments and a sequined cape. For me, it looks even more divine.

Demi Moore in Armani Prive

Demi Moore looked absolutely stunning and was well-deserving of her Best Actress award.

Selena Gomez in Prada

I’m not ga-ga over the color, but I think Selena Gomez looks the best she’s ever looked!

Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton
Justine Lupe in Prada

The structured, jewel-toned gowns worn by Justine Lupe and Emma Stone really stood out on the red carpet.

Even when it’s a rewear…

Cate Blanchett in Louis Vuitton

I would have loved to see Cate Blanchett in something new, but this Louis Vuitton rewear from Cannes is still pretty stunning.

Margaret Qualley in Chanel
Zendaya in Louis Vuitton
Zoe Kravitz in Saint Laurent
Nicole Kidman in Balenciaga

This isn’t my favorite look ever, but hey, it’s Nicole Kidman.

Back to Black

Yes, we’ve seen our share of black at the Golden Globes, but this year it was particularly interesting just how many interpretations there were on the red carpet.

Jennifer Coolidge
Halina Reijn in Prada
Glenn Close in Balmain
Jackie Tohn
Keira Knightley in Chanel Haute Couture
Kirsten Dunst in Gucci
Michelle Yeoh in Balenciaga
Pamela Anderson in Oscar de la Renta
Sarah Paulson in Elie Saab
Sofia Vergara in Georges Chakra
Gal Gadot in Armani Prive
Cristina Miloti in Rodarte

Champagne Tones On The Red Carpet

Another trend I didn’t expect to absolutely love…champagne.

Anya Taylor-Joy in Dior

OK, this might be more pale pink than champagne, but hey — it looks stunning!

Kristen Bell in Ashi Studio

Menswear is Back?

Another unique trend – the number of pantsuits and menswear-inspired looks. I counted at least four.

Tilda Swinton in Chanel
Melissa McCarthy in Christian Sirano

OK, this is a bit – much? I held off putting this on worst dressed but it’s very, well, bubblegum pop.

Ayo Edebiri in Loewe
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor
Keri Russell in Stephanie Rolland
Kate Winslet in Erdem

Worst Dressed at The Golden Globes 2025

Jodie Foster in Dior

As much as I respect Jodie Foster, her fashion leaves much to be desired…

Arianna Grande in Givenchy

I wanted to love this look so much. Yellow doesn’t look awful on Ariana Grande. If only she took the white gloves and didn’t make the whole thing so matchy-matchy.

Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton

Unfortunately, Ariana’s co-star didn’t do much for me either.

Kerry Washington in Balenciaga

I usually LOVE Kerry Washington’s looks. Unfortunately she likes to take a few too many risks sometimes, and they don’t always work. Like this Balenciaga pink wrapped confection here.

Kathryn Hahn in Altuzarra

Wow, who do I blame for this number? Altuzarra? Kathryn Hahn? A stylist?

Aly Wong in Balenciaga

Another weird Balenciaga look.

Elle Fanning In Balmain
Elle Fanning in Balmain

Elle Fanning’s nude Balmain ball gown (with 2 cheetah print patches) overwhelmed her – and totally washed her out!

Which looks did you love – and which did you absolutely hate?
