Packing For A Weekend At The Beach

I love a weekend away at the beach, but oddly the packing is a nightmare! I literally can’t stand it. You have to pack so many items “just in case.” Are the evenings cold? You need a light sweater. Are you going out for dinner? You need a cute dress. Then the swimsuits and coverups and the clothes to change in to after the beach? When I see other articles or posts with a bikini, a dress you can use as a cover up and to wear out and, with a hat, sunglasses and a pair of sandals, I say bullshit. Here is what I packed for a 2 night, 3 day trip to the beach. Of course I came home with some clean, never touched clothes, but I was prepared!

SUITCASE

Like many women, I over-pack. Why I need 3 black t-shirts I’ll never understand either.

BEACH BAG

I’m of the belief you can never have too much sunscreen so I over pack these as well, but I’d rather be safe than sorry. I have one for the kids (which I use on myself), a face and lip protection and even sun-protection for my  colored hair. My straw hat is not shown because it is close to being garbage bound. I always have cold water (that was in a cooler) and a KIND bar just in case I get hangry. Oh and a good beach read is a MUST. I only read 8 pages, but this book is perfect mindless beach reading. It’s like watching Bravo TV in book form.

My ASOS tote is no longer available

Dior So-Real Sunglasses, $620 (I’m not going to lie, I also pack a $10 pair for the beach in case I break them!)

TIGI Bead Head Beach Bound Protection Spray For Colored Hair, $18.99

KIND Bars, Dark Chocolate Nuts & Sea Salt, Gluten Free, $11.99 for 12

Clinique ‘Sun’ Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Face Cream, $23

Clinique ‘Sun’ Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Advanced Protection Stick, $21

The Honest Company SPF 50+ Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, $13.99

Jack Black ‘Sun Guard’ Very Water Resistant Sunscreen SPF 45, $21

BeYu Lip Color

The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look At A Shallow Year, $9.51
