Summary: Erin Fetherston‘s Spring ’09 Collection, entitled "East of the Sun and West of the Moon" was just that– a trip through the cosmos where star-gazing was optimal. Fetherston’s perennially chic silhouettes were at their all-time best this season, showcasing a selection of mystical Midsummer Night’s Dream-like designs. The creativity of the collection reigned in chiffon– the Pink Chiffon Asymmetrical Tank and Opalescent Sequin Skirt was purely divine (no pun intended), while the Shirred Lime Chiffon Dress already looked like a staple at next year’s hottest Hamptons fete. I was particularly intrigued by the White Chiffon Overall paired with the Sky Print Bandeau, proving that Erin Fetherston’s genius can literally transform typical farmer’s work-wear into delicate ready-to-wear. By far and away, the most outstanding looks of the evening were the Cloud dresses, skirts, and gowns. Always partial to a shift, the White Organza Cloud Shift Dress was a sexy, innovative, and perfectly styled frock that had me, quite literally, on cloud nine. Pun intended.

Color Palette:  Lilac, Peach, Lime, White, Pink.

Textures and Fabrics: Sunburst Jacquard, Boucle, Opalescent, Metallic, Georgette, Chiffon, Organza, Linen, Rainbow Wash, Sky Print.
