My Top 7 Summer Anti-Aging Skincare Picks

Top 7 Summer Anti-Aging Skincare Picks
One perk about being the editor-in-chief and now also the beauty editor of Second City Style is the myriad of beauty products I get to test. The downside is that I only ave so much skin to try them. It took me some time, but I have finally narrowed down my top 7 summer anti-aging skincare products, and believe me, finding a good anti-aging serum isn’t easy. Yes, they are all sun protection and fake tanning products – is that really any surprise in the summer? Sun exposure is extremely aging. Sun spots, wrinkles and leathery skin will only make you appear older and let’s not forget the increased risk of skin cancer.
It’s ludicrous to think you can avoid the sun altogether, but it’s vital you chose sunscreens and lotions with SPF 15 or higher… and ones that protect you from both UVA and UVB rays. I now use SPF all year-round, even on cloudy days because clouds won’t protect you from ultraviolet rays. So without further ado, here are the 7 products I now use exclusively.
1. SkinCeuticals Physical Eye UV Defense SPF 50, $30
I never really thought about protection for my eyes because I normally wear sunglasses in the sun, but that’s pretty short-sided. I now use this product every day. It has a little color so it applies like an under eye concealer, however I also use it on my lids.
2. Tree Hut DD Cream in Raspberry Macadamia, $7.49
This cream smells divine and goes on like any other body cream except it has SPF 20. For the price it’s a no-brainer.
3. Dermalogica Protection Sport SPF 50, $32
I have to admit, I have been using this as my daily face moisturizer. It does not disturb my makeup application whatsoever.
4. Hampton Sun SPF 35 Continuous Mist, now $28.99
I am now such a fan of this line of products, I even use their 70 SPF Kids formula on my boys. The mist is super-fine and a breeze to apply.
5. Karora Express Bronzing Mousse, now $30
I just reviewed this bronzing mousse because it provides the best deep, dark, fake color! What can I say? I’m still a tanorexic at heart.
6. Hampton Sun SPF 30 Luxe Sport Lip Balm, $12
You can’t forget about your lips! When Chanel discontinued my favorite SPF lip balm I was heart-broken, but this one does the job just as well.
7. Tarte Brazilliance™ Skin Rejuvenating Maracuja Self Tanning Face Towelettes, $21
These towelettes hydrate, brighten, and even skin tone as it helps fight signs of aging for a firmer, brighter, smoother appearance. Simply swipe the towelette over your face and you will notice a gradual, natural-looking bronze tan in no time!
