I have been storing mine in the refrigerator for an extra bit of cooling. In the evening I dangerously apply the gel under my eyes and extend upwards toward temples and brow bone. For extra hold, lightly hold lifted skin until the gel sets. Then use eye cream as usual. I also use some in the morning and then apply my concealer.
