No unsavory activities are necessary to rock the look!
The Mob Wife Aesthetic 2024
The mob wife look can be a lot, especially if you’re over 40 or 50. It might seem a little tacky, over-the-top, or just downright clash with your preferred aesthetic. But we can all pick up a little swagger or flair from the mostly fictional mob wives who have inspired this trend. From Carmela Soprano to Ginger McKenna in Casino (as played by Sharon Stone), there is no denying its iconic appeal.

Here are some of our favorite ways to incorporate the mob wife trend into your own wardrobe without looking like you’re an extra in Goodfellas.
Mob Wife Aesthetic: Big (Faux) Furs
A statement fur like a mink or sable is a staple in the mob wife’s wardrobe. However, you can still get the look with faux fur. Go for something with volume and oomph like this fluffy mink from Lisa Colly via Amazon, or opt for some major drama with this long faux leopard print from Donna Salyers.
Animal Prints
Speaking of leopard print, mob wives love a good animal motif — tiger, cheetah, zebra, snake, or giraffe — anything goes. A button-up shirt in this type of print (bonus points if its a little sheer like these versions from ASOS and Verdusa via Amazon, you can always layer a cami underneath) is all you need to make an everyday pair of pants or jeans into an Adriana Soprano-inspired statement.
High Heels
A mob wife or girlfriend wouldn’t be caught without her high heels, even when she’s running errands or hosting a casual get-together at her house. Knee high boots like these from Vince Camuto are favored in winter locales and open-toed stilettos are a must in warmer weather or climates like Vegas or Miami.

She never takes off her gold chains or rings. Bonus points for diamond studs and rings the size of ice cubes (pick up a moissanite pair like these 2 carat studs from Amazon for all the sparkle and almost none of the cost). Leather Pants and Skirts
If you don’t have at least one pair of leather pants or a leather pencil skirt, can you really call yourself a mob wife? This Susana Monaco black faux leather skirt is a perfect example and long enough to be classy but sexy enough for a mob wife.
Logos and Labels
