Lifestyle: The Perfect Pool-less Pool Party

It’s here, it’s here! 90 degrees, clear blue skies and the best weather we’ve seen since late August of 2015. No matter if you’re in Los Angeles or New York, you are undoubtedly experiencing the best warm weather ever. So, “it’s a great day for a pool party,” you think to yourself or out loud to a group of friends. Just one small problem – you can’t all fit into the Soho pool house. The local pool is just way too crowded to try to cram in your friends and a couple of spritzers. And that friend with the pool? Out of town. What are you to do? Time for a pool-less pool party!

Now, what do you need to pull off the chicest non-pool pool party? Well, in this case it’s less about the swimsuit and more about the outfit. A breezy swing dress or a bright floral print tunic looks great. Toss on a sun hat and a pair of sweet sandals and you’re good to go! But even at a pool-less party, you still need to cool down. That’s where the infamous green hose comes in.

If you have the space, you can grab your own kiddie pool with a hose and cool off for the summer. Mix up a cool pitcher of your favorite cocktails to serve and enjoy “poolside.” And worst case scenario – you can rent a stay-cation and find a room that has a sweet pool. It may add an extra $150 but it could be well worth it, when it’s almost 100 degrees!
