Kim Kardashian Sues Old Navy Because No One Can Ever Look Like Her

I know some look-alike and impersonation lawsuits are valid but all the signs in this one point to not a chance in H-E-double-hockey sticks.
Reality “star” Kim Kardshian is suing Old Navy and its parent company, The Gap Inc., for using a look-alike to promote the store’s clothes. According to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles federal court, Kardashian claims that the ads may confuse consumers into thinking she’s endorsing the store’s products and that they violate her publicity rights. And she’s using Twitter posts as a basis for her case. Um, WHAT?!
Kardashian “has invested substantial time, energy, finances and entrepreneurial effort in developing her considerable professional and commercial achievements and success, as well as in developing her popularity, fame, and prominence in the public eye,” the lawsuit states (If you didn’t laugh at any of the statement above, then consider yourself a better person than I).
You can watch the original above and make the choice for yourself. The actress in the commercial (which started airing in FEBRUARY, mind you) is model Melissa Molinaro and is not named in the lawsuit. Molinaro also appeared in the television show Making the Band and oh yeah, she’s currently dating Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush. Hm, I’m sure that has absolutely NOTHING to do with this case.
