Perfect Scents: A Dozen Roses

I have to admit I am a total sucker when it comes to rose scents. I have loved them ever since I was a little girl. So when I learned Neiman Marcus was launching an exclusive  rose fragrance collection inspired by the emotions that only a rose can evoke, I of course had to check them out.

Roses have inspired poets, artists, designers, and now, they have inspired the fragrances of A DOZEN ROSES. The collection of three fragrances were created from a passion for art, pure perfumery and unique fragrance bottle design. Perfumers were given free reign to create the fragrances in the collection based on original artwork and the emotion of roses that inspired them. The results are unique artisanal scents unlike any other: fragrances that are artwork unto themselves. Each uniquely original fragrance is imbued with 100% natural rose absolute essence wrapped in a complex, sophisticated, and modern creation. What a brilliant twist. A Dozen Roses launches with three unique fragrances: Shakespeare in Love – Warm. Wonderful. Memorable. Jasmine, Gardenia, and Fresh Pear that blends to creamy woods and vanilla, and at the heart Blush Rose and A Dozen Roses’ signature rose absolut. Gold Rush – Sexy. Rich. Wild. A combination of blackberry, neroli, and ylang ylang layered with the richness of bittersweet chocolateand ebony woods, all wrapped with the aura of the gold rush rose and A DozenRoses’ signature rose absolut. Iced White – Icy. Edgy. Effervescent. A brisk mix of white on white, white peony, white primrose, osmanthus that cools down with vanilla, white musk and A Dozen Roses’ signature rose absolut. While I loved them all…the Gold Rush was surprisingly my personal favorite followed by the light Iced White. Mind you, I would gladly wear all three and happily display any of the gorgeous bottles on my dresser. Try them and let us know which on is your favorite.
