Holiday 2021 Outfit Strategy: Glam Pieces For Under $100

Holiday parties are back in full swing this year. Which can be super exciting for those of us who live for the holidays and all the festive cheer they bring. Gathering with family and friends to celebrate is on the top of many of our lists and that means a slew of holiday parties are starting to pop up. Be it a corporate work party or a casual gathering with friends, wanting to go glam for the holidays is totally natural and completely OK, especially after so many months of not being able to go full out. That being said, I don’t want to break the bank jumping back into social gatherings. So let’s explore some holiday glam pieces for under $100 that can take us through the joyous season.

Tops and Jackets Under $100

The perfect holiday top or jacket can make your festive outfit a smashing success. The easiest route you can take is to go with a sparkley option. I like the idea of doing a sexy top like this sequin reversible top from Free People and pairing it with a pair of sleek, wide leg pants. The top is surprisingly versatile and provides a sexy look whether you want to wear the plunging neckline in the front and show a little cleavage or wear it open in the back. You can also wear it over a camisole for extra coverage. Being able to multiply your look options for less than $100 can be a game-changer when it comes to your wardrobe.

Depending on how you style it, this organza wrap jacket can be worn to a corporate holiday party or something more low key. Pair it with a satin pencil skirt and sexy stilettos or boots for a more formal event. To dress it down, pull on dark jeans and some simple hoop earrings and wear it to a friend’s holiday house party. If you want a little bit of color, try this double notch lapel blazer for your holiday festivities. Yes, this one is a little fancy, but it’s the perfect holiday glam look under $100 if you want to go the extra mile when you’re getting decked out for your holiday outing.

Holiday Glam Pants and Dresses

I love a striking pair of pants. I just wore a pair of sequin gold pants to a wedding and got compliments all night! So if you want to take a page out of the statement pants book, the holiday season is the perfect time to try. I love the color of these wide leg pants from ASOS. The cream color is unexpected, since most styles you seen during this time of year are black, gold or silver. I also like these violet velvet pants, which look super comfortable and are incredibly affordable from Target. You can dress these down with an oversized chunky sweater and wear it to a casual party with friends or if you’re at home and playing host to friends and family for the holidays.

Of course, we don’t want to forget the holiday dresses options. Something elegant like this velvet wrap dress can be a holiday staple and for less than $100, you can splurge on some fun accessories and shoes to pair with it. Or you can always go the classic route for a formal affair, something like this floor length gown with the keyhole detail is great for a black tie party. You can never go wrong with a chic, black gown.

Holiday Outfit Expert Styling Tips:

  1. Don’t skimp on the sparkle. This the time of year when wearing sparkle head to toe is perfectly socially acceptable, so go all out. I have several sequin dresses, not to mention, blazers, pants and skirts. I know one day the opportunity to wear them will come, which is why I look forward to the holiday so I can pull them out of my closet. This could be a little much for some, but I love this Sequin Fringe Jacket paired with some jeans or leather leggings. It could take your holiday party outfit to the next level.
  2. Flashy is fun. I’ve gotten away from lots of statement jewelry, but every once in a while, I like to pull out a statement necklace that for any other day would be completely over the top. Don’t be afraid to shop your own closet and pull out a piece that may not have gotten much love due to its extravagant design. Remember, there was a reason we fell in love with our pieces, so pull them out, dust them off and show them some love this holiday season.
  3. Mind your other details. Additional details can make or break your holiday outfit, so pay attention to those as well. Do you want to go with a heel or flat? A coat or a stole or wrap? Finishing touches in the outfit make all the difference in the world. And don’t forget, you can find lots of glam holiday outfit finishing pieces for less than $100 as well. These black lace heels, metallic block sandals or this faux fur scarf can add the right amount of glamor to you holiday party outfit.
