Wearable Trends: Fun With Fingerless Gloves

This month’s trend is so much fun! It can exude playful and youthfulness, but can also drip with sophistication depending on how you decide to wear it. It’s perfect for this transitional fall-like weather and all of the outdoor activities that accompany it. This month I want to talk about the fingerless gloves trend! Yes, I don’t think one would look at it and say it’s the most functional trend, especially if you live in a colder climate, but it sure is fun and that’s what makes fashion and style interesting.

Fingerless Glove Trend

I don’t think this trend is meant to be taken too seriously. I love the way it can be used to either elevate your look or bring an element of surprise into it. Fingerless gloves were all over the runways at high end designers like Chanel with various styles on display showing everything from leather motorcycle gloves to cashmere and fur longer length versions. Even though they won’t necessary keep your fingers completely warm, they can still get the job done in transitional weather and of course they are perfect for working all of your digital devices without compromising your look.

How To Wear Fingerless Gloves

There isn’t really a rule for this trend, which in my opinion is fantastic. You can be any size, shape or skin tone and still wear it. If you want to go sophisticated and elegant, try a pair that come all the way up to your elbow in a luxe fabric like cashmere, wool or angora with fur or embellished details. Wear them with a simple V-neck sweater and ¾ length sleeve topper or coat and you are the epitome of class.

f you want to go fun and funky try a full-on moto style like these Karl Lagerfeld leather gloves paired with your leather jacket and favorite sunglasses. Or keep it playful but incredibly warm with fur like this Fur Vault Mink pair worn with your classic tailored wool coat and a cozy hat and scarf combo. Regardless of the direction you choose to go with trend, it’s a different and fun element that you can bring into your wardrobe that is perfect for the cool weather to come.
