From the power of a well-fitted tuxedo blazer to a bold high-neck look, here’s how the best dressed celebs of 2023 can inspire you to go beyond the confines of the red carpet for fall.

America Ferrera’s Dolce & Gabbana Blazer
America Ferrera suited up for the Barbie Celebration Party at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Australia, wearing a Dolce & Gabbana blazer featuring a peak lapel collar, button front, button cuffs, and front flap pockets. The Fall 2023 suit jacket was perfectly tailored and featured a statement floral applique.
Without looking for the exact same blazer, this look can be easily recreated with a luxury sentiment. Peak lapel blazers are all the rage. Try this COS Peak Lapel Blazer in Black for $350 or a Phillip Plein Peaked Lapel Blazer on sale for $775. This one features animal print lining.
My favorite has to be this Liu Jo Peak-Lapels Single-Breasted Blazer for $276 at Farfetch.com. Add this Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini floral applique brooch pin for $320.
Nina Dobrev’s Khaite Minidress
Nina Dobrev is all grown up and rocking this off-the-shoulder Swarovski crystal emblazoned Khaite minidress on the red carpet. The Juniper dress features puffy sleeves and a wrap skirt, which is only enhanced by the numerous crystals all over the dress.
Sure, you can get your own draped Juniper dress from Khaite for $1,480, even without the crystal mesh. But if you want to find another way to recreate this look, go for a cool frock with an exaggerated draped neckline and a fitted wrap-around mini hem.
I like this Alice One Shoulder Top from Simkhai for $295 or this Line & Dot Rebecca Off Shoulder Dress for $68.
Emily Blunt’s Balman Frock
Not sure it gets any better than this – and that’s because no one could pull look it off quite like Emily Blunt. She wore the green high neck Balmain look from the brand’s Resort 2024 collection to the Oppenheimer premiere in Paris. Not only is it a unique color and fabric, but it has sharp shoulders and a bow tie. Not quite so easy to replicate, but let’s try.
I found this soft olive Jayda Cowl Neck Dress from British brand Pretty Lavish for just $59. And while it’s not exactly like what Emily Blunt wore, this Miss Selfridge metallic chiffon shirred volume sleeve midi dress gives off a very 1940s feel for just $80.
Kate Beckinsale’s Elie Saab Dress
This taffeta mini dress by Elie Saab is a sight to behold! Worn by Kate Beckinsale to the designer’s show at haute couture fashion week, it costs a cool $1,162 on Net-A-Porter. And there’s a lot going on here – fuchsia taffeta, flouncy pleated ruffles on the sleeves and that open back. It’s as busy and statement-making as the actress herself.
Sure, you can buy this dress (and you should) but you can also find something similar and just as bold. This Mac Duggal flutter sleeve tiered gauze dress can be yours for $598. For something a little more simple, but still eye-catching, this light purple v-neck puff sleeve pleated romper from Express retailing for $128 should do the trick.
Sienna Miller in Self-Portrait
Sienna Miller can never say no to a beautiful, effortless look. Recently, for a Self-Portrait event, she chose to wear this white broderie anglaise dress with ruffled bodice and maxi skirt. She paired it with a metallic butterfly belt, which Vogue called a “Noughties-favorite.”
To find something similar, look for a white dress made of broderie anglaise, a term in French for English embroidery, characterized by round or oval patterned cut-outs in a fabric that gives off a lace effect. You may like this Sanctuary cotton eyelet sundress for CeCe ruffle square neck midi dress for This delicate Broderie Anglaise strap dress from Ganni is shorter, but just as pretty, and is going for $121 on Revolve.
