5 Celebrities Wearing The Many Vibrant Colors Of Summer 2022

It’s been a bright and vibrant summer, not completely marred by COVID-19 like the last two years. And the celebs have shown us that they have the colors of summer to match. Canary yellow, powder blue and hot pink were key looks on the runway this year and celebrities like Helen Mirren, Anne Hathaway and Sharon Stone have proudly worn them and a myriad of other bold shades at major events like the Cannes red carpet and in the front row at the fashion shows this season. (No matter that those fashion shows are for the Fall/Winter season.)

The Colors Of Summer 2022

Bright colors don’t only make for a standout ensemble, but they also get you noticed. Was this what Dolce & Gabbana were thinking when they created their stunning looks for their Alta Moda collection at haute couture fashion week? Probably not. It’s likely that they were focusing on the opulence that comes with lively looks in eye-catching jewel tones and classic Italian motifs. Not everyone can afford a haute couture look in their wardrobe, but bright colors can help you look like a million bucks without having to spend a million bucks.

And then there was Valentino where designer Pierpaolo Piccioli unveiled an almost entirely hot pink Fall/Winter 2022 collection at Paris Fashion Week. His idea, according to Vogue UK, was to “intensify the senses and make us look at the details of each garment – the silhouette, the neckline, the surface decoration – rather than focusing on ‘looks'”.

5 Celebrities In Vibrant Colors of Summer

If you want to stop people in their tracks, wear a colorful look. Take a cue from these celebs.

Zoey Deutch in Mixed Print Carolina Herrera

Zoey Deutch is the queen of fashion in my eyes. She is stunning and knows what looks good on her body. She takes risks, but never goes overboard and plays with colors, textures and silhouettes beautifully.

Recently, while promoting her new movie Not Okay, Deutch has been wearing a lot of Carolina Herrera.

It is one of the most feminine and elegant designer brands out there. The label with designer Wes Gordon, has been taking a lot of risks with their new collections, while somewhat keeping to the ladylike aesthetic and even making it a little sexy. Deutch wore a red poppy print ruched t-shirt and lupine blue poppy print ruched skirt from the Carolina Herrera Resort 2023 collection. Deutch doesn’t usually go for sexy, but the body con look helps to bring out the bold and bright color combination.

Colors of Summer: Jennifer Lopez in Yellow Gucci

Who can believe that Jennifer Lopez is 51 years old? I certainly can’t. But maybe 51 is the magic number because she’s in love and looking the best she’s ever looked. Interestingly enough, this look is a lot more covered up than what we’re used to seeing from the triple-threat singer, actress and entrepreneur. But it’s the brilliant sunny yellow color of the dress that really makes it stand out. It’s just such a stunning color on her.

JLo wore the chiffon number from Gucci for the LuisaViaRoma for Unicef event held at La Certosa di San Giacomo on July 30th in Capri, Italy. Looking for something new to wear this summer? Try a gorgeous maxi dress in this bold color.

Sienna Miller in Sky Blue Self Portrait

A lurex knit dress might not be the first thing I’d think of wearing in the summer, because of the heat of course. But Sienna Miller’s powder blue Self-Portrait midi number proves that even knit can be a summer trend, when in the perfect summer color. The sexy cutout probably also helps, and the dress appears lightweight. Pastel colors are always the rage when summer comes along, and this ribbed dress with a square back, sweetheart neckline, and bell flared cuffs is certainly enhanced by its sky blue hue.

Anne Hathaway in Valentino Pink PP

Everyone was raving about Anne Hathaway’s pink sequined dress at the Valentino haute couture show in Rome last month. Not only was it a heavy departure from her looks in the past (style evolution anyone?) but it was perfectly Valentino and in the label’s signature Valentino Pink PP shade, which has been quite a standout on the runway this season (and also perfectly vivid and vibrant for summer).

The piece was covered in glittery sequins and featured ruffle details and a flair skirt, and Hathaway herself was likened to a Barbie doll, thanks to the bubblegum pink and those amazing hot pink shoes! The brand’s famous Garavani platform pumps were worn by a number of celebrity guests at the show including Ashley Park from the Netflix hit Emily In Paris. “Barbie-core, but call it couture,” says Harper’s Bazaar. And she does.

That color is everything, and I can’t wait to see more of it.

Colors of Summer: Keke Palmer in Lime Green Valentino

Here’s more Valentino and more bright color. This time, it’s gorgeous green on Keke Palmer in a green lace floral gown. The actress wore the gown, from Valentino’s pre-fall 2022 Promenade collection, to the UK premiere of Nope. While I’m not super keen on the see-through elements and the feathery look at the hips, that color is simply divine and looks tremendous on her. Yes, sometimes it’s all about the color and that’s exactly what works the most with this dress.

What do you think? Could you pull off such a bold shade? Which is your favorite color of summer 2022?
