Brighten Up! How To Spring Your Wardrobe Forward Early

Are you tired of your winter wardrobe? Sick of winter neutrals, jewel tones, and dark colors in general? Then you need to change things up and start transitioning to spring early so you don’t lose sense of style or your mind.

It’s time to spring forward a little bit early, and here’s how…

Paint It Pastel

Lele Sadoughi Marquis Front Hoop Earrings, $118 and Nicholas Fine Knit Sweater, $295

Easter egg hues might not be flattering on every complexion, but if they work for you , or if you just love them, they can provide a wonderful contrast to all the blacks and grays of the winter season. One easy way to wear pastels is with multicolor earrings like these Lele Sadoughi hoops (perfect with black, camel, navy, gray, and really any other neutral), or you can really embrace the candy colors with this Nicholas poet-sleeved turtleneck sweater.

Choose Tropical Brights

Akris punto Wool-Cashmere Collarbone Cutout Sweater, $695

Pastels aren’t your thing? Then go for vibrant shades of pink, turquoise or yellow and mentally go to the beach. Something like this rich orange Akris cashmere sweater with unique cutouts (that will still allow you to wear a normal bra and that’s important!) might be a great way to warm up your look before the weather does.

Get Some Groundbreaking Florals

HALOGEN® Cap Sleeve Woven Blouse, Regular & Petite, in navy and red floral, $49

While floral prints for spring might not be the most unique choice, they can remind you that warmer days are coming. We’re fans of how easy this cap-sleeve Halogen blouse in the navy or red floral print would be to wear with denim or virtually anything else.

Find New Winter Gear

HALOGEN® x Atlantic-Pacific Cashmere Lined Leather Gloves, now $59.40 and Echo Floral Jacquard Wrap, $99

If you still have to wear gloves, hats, and scarves for the foreseeable future, get some new ones in a fun color or style to liven things up. A bright teal scarf like this one by Echo might be perfect (and the color is nearly universally flattering), or new cashmere-lined leather gloves in a soft lavender shade like these by Halogen could be the perfect thing to make your winter coat feel new again.

Just Add Jewels

Ippolita Rock Candy® Clear Quartz, Mother-Of-Pearl & Lapis Pendant Necklace, $695

Get a new pair of earrings, a statement necklace, or cocktail ring. The added sparkle will make the season go by faster. We love this Ippolita lapis and quartz pendant for all seasons and nearly all ensembles.

Accessorize Your Tech

Gucci Floral-print textured iPhone 10 case, $320

A new phone case, tablet case, laptop sleeve, or other new accessory for the technology you use everyday can be a smart way to cheer yourself up during the dullest winter days. This fuschia Gucci case could be a worthwhile splurge, or put your favorite piece of art on your case with a service like Zazzle.

If you’re bored with your winter wardrobe (we hear you), how do you change things up before spring comes?
