The Spring 17 Collections from designers like Isabel Marant, Balenciaga, Rodarte and Kenzo channeled the glitz, glam and spirit of the 80s. These strong shouldered 80s looks were worn proudly on everyone at the time, and most memorably for me, on Linda Evans in her role as Crystal Carrington on the Dynasty TV series which encompassed that decade from 1981 to 1989.

NYFW Fall 17: Oscar de la Renta’s New Designers Get it Right

Creative Directors Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim showed their Monse collection right before the debut of their Oscar de la Renta NYFW Fall 17 Collection. While I loved the innovation, tailoring, edginess and ‘coolness’ of Monse, it was Oscar de la Renta that stood out for me. I think Oscar de la Renta would be thrilled with this collection!
